We are thrilled to announce our latest new brand here in the showroom, from what we have seen so far this is set to be a memorable Spring Summer 14 for the Japanese line of an old favourite here. Some more info below:
From it’s modest origins in 1984 as a vendor of vintage clothing in Camden market, Duffer transformed into a fully distributed lifestyle collection boasting three bricks and mortar locations. After years of scouring the globe for the most sought-after vintage and dead stock goods, ultimately Duffer coined the term “Suave head” to describe the eclectic 1960’s preppy direction their project had embarked upon; English tweeds and flannel, brogue shoes with old school ties. Turning their attention in later years to American sportswear.
Prior success for the brand in Japan continued to cultivate growth enabling Duffer to open over 20 stores across the region. The Japanese line now for the first time will be available internationally through various high- end retail locations throughout the UK and Europe.
The summer surf inspired line comprises of printed stripes for shorts and shirts, washed cotton jackets and chino’s and pastel jersey sweats.
The range will also include some archive pieces from the duffer vaults…
